RV 10.00 at Beldorney Castle
Recently acquired estate now part of the Bunloit Wildland project - see Bunloit and Beldorney - Bunloit
The Bunloit Rewilding project hopes to rewild and re-people the highlands through optimally sequestering carbon, growing biodiversity, creating green new jobs and generating sustainable profit for purpose. By developing this new way of land management, they aim to become a world leader in accelerating Nature-based Solutions that can help fight the climate and biodiversity crises, whilst helping to rebuild local economies, post-covid.
They are investing to create new livelihoods whilst conducting innovative research on carbon and biodiversity, using a range of methods to develop our plans that will be beneficial for nature, people and ultimately the planet.
Beldorney (349 hectares) is their most recent asset, comprised of over-grazed pasture and a selection of coniferous plantations – a perfect site to implement the land management model being developed at Bunloit, acting as a blank page for rewilding efforts.
We will be hosted by Executive Director, Jeremy Leggett Team - Bunloit
