Meet one of our student members
Meet Ben Wilson, a PhD researcher based at the University of Stirling, and student member of RSFS. His area of research is looking into the effects of implementing continuous cover forestry (CCF) in Scotland.
The primary reason for my Royal Scottish Forestry Society student membership is to access the regional field days.
As a PhD researcher, I find it imperative that academics engage with practitioners, and the regional field days provide access to a wide range of forestry and silvicultural examples across Scotland.
Not only do they allow me to experience real-world examples, but the networking aspect also aids knowledge exchange and ultimately helps to shape my research.
